Biomedical Equipment Technical Assistance

This contract provides systems engineering and development support to NASA Johnson Space Center biomedical projects. Tasks performed include design, development, and testing of software for the next-generation radiation monitoring system. The embedded portion of the software is C++, compiled to run under VxWorks real-time operating system. The graphical user interface is designed in Visual Basic. Beginning with a list of NASA’s desires, the software was engineered using Unified Modeling Language. Disciplines employed include the entire spectrum of software engineering practices including requirements definition, design, coding, testing and documentation.
