Advisory and Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance
(CAASETA)
This contract provides
systems engineering support to the Air Force Space Command
(AFSPC) at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs. Tasks performed
include requirements analysis of missile defense tests involving
AFSPC assets; systems integration of multiple systems such
as Beale and Fylingdales Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR)
and Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Fire Control and
Communications (GFC/C) into common command and control centers
such as the Command and Control Battle Management Communications
(C2BMC); information technology security, certification, and
accreditation; developing system training plans for the Distributed
Mission Operations – Space (DMO-S) center at Schriever
AFB. Typical of the projects completed include serving as
the AFSPC liaison to MDA , USSTRATCOM, and USNORTHCOM for
C2BMC integration issues; assessing potential bed-down locations
at for MDA’s proposed future Kinetic Energy Interceptor
and Family of Targets systems; and evaluating Shared Early
Warning System (SEWS) Missile Defense Simulation Tool (MDST)
and Space Tracking & Surveillance System (STSS) certification
and accreditation.
