Electrical Systems Engineering Services (ESES)

This contract provides systems engineering and integration to the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Tasks performed include requirements analysis; system and subsystem design support during Phase C/D projects; and multidisciplinary system analyses and trade studies involving mechanical, thermal, optics, control, detector, electrical aspects of flight and ground systems. Typical of the projects completed include analyzing mission requirements and establishing mission architectures to demonstrate that credible, feasible designs exist. We develop top-level requirements, alternative operations concepts, project constraints, and system boundaries considering feasibility and risk studies; cost and schedule estimates; and advanced technology requirements. MEI Technologies performs detailed design of subsystems, components and assemblies for instrument / spacecraft / platform and ground support equipment such as Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), and Hubble Space Telescope (HST), and the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES). Technologies being developed by MEI Technologies in support of these programs include Spacewire, and Software Defined Radio.
