C-5 Reliability Enhancement and Re-engining Program (RERP)

This contract provides aircraft structural analysis and flight test engineering on the C-5 Galaxy in support of Detachment 4 of the 418th Flight Test Squadron at Dobbins Air Reserve Base. MEI Tasks include analysis of wing loading, flutter, vibroacoustics, and fatigue. MEI personnel also serve on-console in a ground-based control room monitoring real-time observation of telemetered, critical aircraft parameters from control surface movements, air data, and structural loads. Disciplines employed include structural and mechanical engineering, instrumentation, data acquisition, airworthiness and flight system safety.
