System Development and Operations Support

This contract provides systems engineering and concept development support to the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. Tasks performed include investigating in-situ fabrication and repair functionality for use in future space vehicles and missions compatible with NASA’s Constellation Program. MEI Technologies research efforts include processing techniques required for the fabrication of tools, parts, and systems; metal joining, soldering, patching, adhesives, and self healing concepts. Typical analytical studies include measurements of the effects of heat transfer, convection, buoyancy, and surface tension on materials for use in space exploration.
