Sulkin
Arthur B. Sulkin is the Chief Strategy Officer for MEI Technologies, Inc. Joining the company in 1999, MEI had about 135 employees
and $10M in sales. He is responsible for supporting the development
of the company strategic plan, formulating market strategies,
developing capture plans and leading capture teams, maintaining
a proposal infrastructure, and proposing and analyzing acquisition
/ merger candidates.
In 1966, Art was commissioned as an Air
Force 2 nd Lieutenant from the AFROTC Program. During his
20-year career, he served in various assignments including
space research and development, space operations, flying,
and Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at the USAF
Academy. He also flew 144 combat missions during a tour in
Southeast Asia, and earned numerous awards and decorations,
including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with eight
oak leaf clusters (OLC), and the Meritorious Service Medal
with one OLC.
In 1986, Art joined the Rockwell Space
Operations Company where he served as Department of Defense
Programs Director for the Company’s Shuttle payload
integration and satellite operations support projects, and
Director of Advanced Programs and Business Development. In
1996, he joined the Boeing Space Operations Company where
he served as Capture Manager for a $3.5B, 10-year, NASA space
operations and information services procurement, and Director
of Business Development.
Art received a Bachelor’s degree
in Engineering from the University of Michigan, and an MBA
from Southern Illinois University.
