Karen
Todd
Karen Todd became the Controller for MEI in 2001, and is currently the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In the capacity of CFO,
she is responsible for overseeing Accounting, Treasury, and
Risk Management.
Karen’s first job in the auditing
field was with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Company (now KPMG),
where she audited various clients, specializing in the energy
sector. After passing the CPA exam and becoming a Certified
Public Accountant in 1985, she began consulting with small
companies. Karen began her full-time career in the government
contracting arena in 1991 with a local JSC contractor. She
obtained knowledge in a variety of areas as the Controller,
including pricing and contract close-outs, and was also heavily
involved in DCAA audits. Karen then began to work at the company’s
accounting firm, BKD, who also audited MEI. She was involved
in MEI audits for several years before becoming the MEI Controller.
Karen graduated from the University of
Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in
Accounting, and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1985.
